Making quilt's for family. I like to sew and play in my garden, so you will see photos of my daily activities. I'm proud of my family and include them in my fun.

Our Country
Our Country I tell my children was great. Our men and women fought and some died for our freedom and pride. Remember the price continues to be paid. Don't let your generation be the one to loose our Nation please. God bless America!

What to do with all those Peppers
I froze a lot of peppers this last year and have had fun finding how to prepare them for dinner. Here is one way.
Grandma Diann's Chili
1 Lb beans ( black beans are best) cooked
1 Lb ground lean beef
2 large yellow onions
1 small red bell pepper
2 banana peppers
2 Jalapenos pepper
1 cayenne pepper
1 chili pepper
1 to 2 clove garlic
1 cup water
1 can diced tomatoes with onion, celery and green pepper
1 can tomato paste
2 can tomato sauce
1 Tbs ketchup
1 beef bouillon cube
2 to 3 Tbs flour
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp cumin
2 Tbs chili powder seasoning
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Cook beans and set aside.
Mince onions and peppers.
In large iron skillet blend beef with onions and peppers and lightly brown.
Blend flour into beef mixture and cook for three minutes.
In one cup of hot water dissolve beef cube.

As a Grandmother
As a Grandmother I must say," Thank you God for my children and grandson."
O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
Isaiah 25:1

How to stay warm
As long as you have electricity an electric blanket is wonderful. Most of the time I don't run the heat I just stay under a blanket when at home.
When you cant stay in bed put a space heater in the room you will be in.
I did leave out the oatmeal and grits for cold weather breakfast.
